The
Reverend Howard L'Enfant, Associate Chaplain |
|
E-Mail: lawchild@lsu.edu |
I
joined the staff as assistant chaplain in 2003 and when I am not at the
Chapel, I am teaching law students at the LSU Law Center which is
conveniently located across the parking lot from St. Alban's. I am
married to Jean Ann Tolleson L'Enfant and in our family we have a daughter, two grandsons, one
granddaughter, one great niece, six Sudanese
foster sons and four dogs. I really enjoy sharing the Good News and drinking
good beer (which is definitely part of the Good News). |

Linda Armstrong, Deacon |
|
E-Mail: deacon@stalban.org |
Deacon Linda first visited St. Alban’s in 1973 and decided to stay for a while
to see if she liked it. With the exception of a few years in North
Carolina (about 15) she has been around ever since. After she was ordained
to the Sacred Order of Deacons in October 2005, Bishop Jenkins assigned her to
St. Alban’s. Linda is married to Lance Armstrong and they are the parents
of Elizabeth Guidry and the grandparents of Megan and Ethan. Linda
received an undergraduate degree from LSU in 1985
after managing to cram a four-year education into 17 years. She
completed the Education for Ministry program in 2006 and has attended
the Oxford University (UK) Summer School in Religious Studies. Linda
and her husband are avid LSU football fans and enjoy sitting in the same
Tiger stadium seats Lance’s parents secured before he was born. Linda is
confident that as soon as she finds some free time, she’ll find a hobby.

Laurie Morris, Chapel Administrator |
|
E-Mail: office@stalban.org |

Laurie joined the staff of St. Alban's in May of 2005. She was born here in Baton Rouge and grew up in
Livingston, Louisiana. After High School, Laurie attended Spencer College
and graduated in 1989.
Laurie lives in Pride, LA with her husband Jim and
her dog Mitzi. When she’s not
working, she enjoys camping in her RV, attending LSU sporting events, fishing,
reading and spending time with family and friends. Laurie believes that
being the eighth child in a family of nine helped prepare her for church life.
"I'm used to big families and I think of St. Alban's as a really large family.
St. Alban's is home - I can't imagine being anyplace else! I plan on
staying right here among the stately oaks watching over the students and the
great people of St. Alban's for many years to come!" Laurie is also an avid sports fan who
can usually be
persuaded to take a break from her duties to talk sports. She also believes
it’s her mission in life to make everyone cheer for her favorite team the LSU
Tigers!

Brad Pope, Organist |
|
E-Mail: forbradpope@gmail.com |

Born and bred in Shreveport, Brad came to LSU and earned a BA.
While doing graduate studies in Fine Arts, he accepted a "temporary" position as
organist at St. Alban's where he remains 40 years later. He lives within a
short walk to the campus and he feeds a few
driveway cats who seem pleased with the arrangement.
Beside his work at the Chapel, he has been a clerk in bookstores and record
stores, driven a flower shop delivery van, and recently retired as
owner/manager of The Compact Disc Store. Most days, Brad can be found
hanging out at Highland Coffees or St. Alban's drinking coffee and mastering his
new Mac and Iphone. He thinks of himself as a moth to
the flame of LSU and considers St. Alban's as one of God's special places.

Jacob Benda, Associate Organist |
|
E-Mail:
jbenda524@gmail.com |
Jacob was first asked to play at St. Alban's in November of 2005 as a
substitute for one evening service and has been the Sunday night
organist/pianist ever since. In 2007 he received his B.M. in Piano Performance
and received his M.M. in Organ Performance during the Spring of 2010 - both
degrees from LSU.
He is currently pursuing his D.M.A. in Organ Performance at LSU and resides in
Baton Rouge with his wife Ali.
He believes his best meals at LSU always involve St. Alban's - especially the
annual crawfish boil where he had his very first crawfish!

Noelle Allison, Director of Children's Ministry |
|
E-Mail:
thealgals@gmail.com |

Noelle Allison is a recent transplant to Baton Rouge--her husband, Jesse, is a
professor of Experimental Music at LSU. They still claim to be from Washington
State (where they grew up, met, & married) but most of their married life has
been spent sojurning in the Midwest (specifically, Missouri and Indiana). They
have four energetic daughters--Gwen, Addy, Pippin, and Idgie--and Noelle's
primary occupation is keeping them fed and clothed. When she is not parenting
(and sometimes when she is!) Noelle enjoys knitting, biking, reading, baking,
woodworking, and finding eggs in the chicken coop.
Noelle has been a church musician of some sort for the past 18 years. Much
of that time was spent behind a piano or organ, but she also likes to sing in
the choir when she gets a chance. Over the years she has directed VBS music
programs, organized special music with youth, and put on a few Christmas
pageants (and in one notable case, a full musical). She loves the creative
process of working with youth, their readiness to try new things, and the often
staggering insight they have into things of God.

Alex Kroening, Ministry Intern
|
|
E-Mail:
ministryintern@stalban.org |

Alex Kroening recently returned from a month of intense Army training. He spent
countless hours in the blazing heat at Fort Knox, Kentucky. In the 29 days that
Alex was in Kentucky, he learned what it meant to be a leader. He learned the
Army Values. Alex came back a stronger man, both physically and mentally.
Away from his Army life, Alex enjoys going to the UREC on a regular basis. If
you ever step foot into the UREC, you will most likely see Alex pumping iron and
making sure he destroys his muscles. Alex works hard for everything he does, and
he is an animal in the gym. But, away from his fitness lifestyle, Alex is a
warm-hearted person who always has a smile on his face. He welcomes everyone
with respect, and makes friends easily. |

Born and raised in Lake Charles, Nick George is the youngest and newest addition
to the St. Alban's Ministry Intern team. Nick has always dreamed of being
an LSU Tiger and he is now here in Baton Rouge pursuing a degree in Biological
Sciences. His ambition is to become a "big shot" doctor anywhere someone would
be crazy enough to let him practice medicine.
Besides bleeding purple and gold, Nick enjoys playing a wide array of intramural
sports at the UREC, where when the rare occasion of a ridiculous win comes
about, he fanatically Tebows all around the playing field. He also enjoys
hunting and fishing during the breaks. Nick is very devoted to his family
and friends and loves meeting new people! So, if you see him around, go to
Facebook and send him a friend request.

Margaret Hindman, Ministry Intern |
|
E-Mail:
mlh0012@gmail.com |
|
Margaret
Hindman is a first year intern. She is enthusiastic about the opportunity to
help new LSU students find new friends and a home away from home at St. Alban's,
just as earlier interns did for her.
Margaret came to Baton Rouge from Ruston in North Louisiana. A junior psychology
major, she hopes to go to graduate school and become a psychotherapist and
professor. Margaret teaches Sunday school at St. Alban's and is a TA in the EXST
lab at LSU. She enjoys working-out at the UREC and the outdoors. Margaret is
beginning to train for her first sprint Triathlon and invites anyone interested
to come and join her! If you would prefer something more restful meet with her
for a cup of coffee in the Union, a Wednesday lunch, or a Sunday supper at
St. Alban's. Margaret sang in high school, loves music, and especially enjoys
the beautiful music and outstanding St. Alban’s choir.

|
E-Mail:
maria.weller1023@yahoo.com |
|

Maria
Weller is a first year intern at St. Alban’s originally from Dallas, Texas.
Living in Baton Rouge and attending LSU has been a major change for her, but
finding a Church family at St. Alban’s her freshmen year helped her adapt. Her
wish is to help new students as former interns have helped her. Maria is in her
junior year pursuing a degree in biological sciences. Her dream is to become a
pediatrician and work with Doctors Without Borders after med school. Maria
loves working with children as she also works at the LSU Child Care Center in
addition to teaching Sunday School at St. Alban's.
Besides working and studying Maria is very active
and loves being outdoors. She loves to run and go hiking. Also she loves to joke
around and have fun with friends/family. Maria loves to meet new people and make

originally from Lake Charles, LA and is a junior majoring in elementary
education. Whitney is incredibly excited for her internship and looks forward to
reaching out to the youth in the Sunday School department at St. Alban’s and
planning other fun events for them to enjoy. Whitney has also been working at

and working with them and looks for any opportunity to do so. St. Alban’s has
been a wonderful blessing for her while she has been at LSU and has always felt
like home.

accepted into the Holmes master’s program for education at LSU and hopes to be
certified to teach not only grades K-5 but also grades 6-12. Besides school and

with. If you see Whitney around St. Alban’s, feel free to walk up and introduce
yourself, she’d love to meet you!
